With the spirit of spreading love, sharing and encouragement to the children of trade union members with extremely difficult circumstances, the Party Cell of the Center for Women and Development (CWD) has recently supported 2 children of an officer in the program "Godmother", the program launched by the Vietnam Women's Union. The sponsorship of 2 children has spread humanitarian messages, simultaneously motivating their mother to overcome illness.

"Adopting" the children of staff at the CWD

Tran Hoang Vu and Tran Hoang Viet are the two children of Mrs. Nguyen Kim Thai – a Party member, Staff of the Planning and Business Department, the Center for Women and Development. Over the past time, Mrs. Nguyen Kim Thai's family and two children faced many difficulties. Her husband passed away in 2020. Mrs. Thai herself suffered from a serious illness for a long time, had to be treated intensively at Bach Mai Hospital, and her parents on both sides of the family were elderly and frail. They cannot have enough economic support for two school-age children. Dealing with the family's difficulties, Mrs. Thai is making efforts day by day to fight against the disease and supporting her two children to go to school to complete their studies.

Sharing Mrs.Thai's situation, officials and trade union members of the Center, especially the Trade Union and the Party Cell, regularly visited, encouraged, and helped Mrs. Thai and her children in their daily lives.

Representatives of the Party Cell, The Board of Directors, and the Trade Union Committee visited and encouraged Comrade Thai's family.

"Godmother" – Loving connection

With the unanimous consent of all party members, the Party Cell has decided to sponsor Tran Hoang Vu and Tran Hoang Viet until they complete their high school program. Specifically, each month, the Center for Women and Development will assign the Trade Union Executive Committee and staff of the Sales Department to regularly visit and encourage Thai families; to grasp the situation of their children's learning, health, and thoughts to share, promptly encourage and advise children in the process of learning and moral cultivation until they reach the age of 18. The Party Cell also agreed to support each child with 500,000 VND/month to cover their study and living expenses with their families. With that special "adoption", Mrs. Thai has more material and spiritual support, and her children can grow up in the love of everyone. The voluntary work, which comes from the warm hearts of the Party Cell can give them belief in the bright future ahead.

Representatives of the Party Cell Executive, Board of Directors, and Trade Union Executive Committee handed over the decision to sponsor Comrade Thai's sons

Sharing about the adoption of Mrs. Thai’s children, Comrade Duong Thi Ngoc Linh, Party Cell Secretary, Director of the Center, hoped that with deep meaning and human values, the "godmother" program will inspire and spread love to Mrs. Thai’s family, helping them to overcome difficulties for a brighter future.
