PEACE Journey - Peaceful Journey You are not alone in the Pandemic

With the deep desire to support the community and especially women to overcome difficult times during the Covid - 19 pandemic, the Center for Women and Development (CWD) has coordinated with the partners to provide supporting methods to improve health, reduce negative mental effects, anxiety, and stress during quarantine time.

The program "PEACE Journey - Peaceful Journey" was designed to bring various exercises to many audiences, helping to improve physical and mental health. CWD has launched it since July 1, 2021 with the participation of partners such as OSSO, Living Zen, and dedicated, experienced individuals, together with the companionship of UN Women Vietnam and the SHARE Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy.

Periodically being broadcasted every week, so far the program has performed 15 episodes and has been a binge-worthy content on the Fanpage of Peace House of many women. The clips contain various instructing exercises such as Yoga, movement with music, breathing techniques, aerobics, zumba, yoga, meditation etc which contribute to helping women improve their physical health and gain more self-sufficiency and confidence to overcome the pandemic

According to statistics of calls via the hotline for women's support 1900 96 96 80 and support activities of Binh Yen House, there is a dramatic increase in the need for consultation during the COVID-19 period, in which, from March 2020 to December 2020, the number of consultation cases increased by 114%; number of consultations increased from 883 to 1212 (137% higher) compared to 2019 (before the pandemic).

In the first 6 months of 2021, the Hotline 1900969680 received more than 1,300 calls, an increase of about 140% compared to 2020. And 83% of calls related to domestic violence. The number of cases of domestic violence counseling has increased by nearly 60% compared to 2020 and increased by more than 230% compared to 2019. Counseling issues mainly related to family, conflict, anxiety, stress  which lead to continuing violent conflict.
